The "MENTORPRISE" Way

The word “MENTORPRISE” is a conjoining of two words, “MENTOR” and “ENTERPRISE.” MENTORPRISE is simply the vehicle which facilitates the OPPORTUNITY for adults and individuals within our community to mentor at-risk adolescent boys.  Through a hands-on approach, working together in a small business setting, mentors and mentees build a long-lasting and mutually transforming relationship.  Help us change their "I Can't" to " I Can" and "I Will!"

The ultimate objective of the MENTORPRISE Program is for Eagle Rock Boys' Ranch young men to build strong, healthy relationships with caring adults within the community; adults who will become trusted friends, advisors, and role models.  We believe that life was designed to be done in the context of relationships.  It's in the breakdown of healthy relationships and family structures that communities have been weakened and lives devastated.  

MENTORPRISE is a resource developed by our Founder, Scott Hilton, that is available to all mentors - and facilitates activities that will forge life-long friendships and relationships, while at the same time our boys are learning a skill!  We hold fast to the belief that in these connections a sense of belonging will begin to bridge the gap and help young men form a new identity, with new purpose for their futures.  We envision a program where relationships built will result in someone to "do life" with these boys; relationships where they no longer feel alone.  They will have "family" to be present for their wedding and the birth of their children. There will be someone to celebrate good times with, as well as to walk through the hard times of life.  Many of the young men at Eagle Rock Boys’ Ranch do not have family to turn to when they become adults.  If they do, the environment is not one that will usually promote good choices, integrity, and stability.  Our objective through this program is to fill that void and to close the gap.  We need you!  We are building a stronger community, one child at a time.  It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken adults.  Together we can be part of the solution!

The secondary objective of MENTORPRISE is to teach integrity to at-risk adolescent young men at Eagle Rock Boys' Ranch.  

In a structured program uniquely designed to address their challenges while at the same time celebrating their strengths, we are certain they will learn to become good employees/employers with strong work ethics, who are highly respected, upright business men within our community.  Young men who are fluent in money management, as well as outstanding husbands and fathers.  Young men who pay it forward by returning the same kindness to the community that invested in them by one day becoming mentors themselves. The lessons they learn through MENTORPRISE will make an eternal impact in their lives.
